At nasen we believe that every child and young person across the globe can achieve. As a trusted champion and protector of the education workforce, we have continued to strive to transform outcomes for the children and young people it serves.
International declarations have made commitments to non-discrimination since 1960 and to inclusion since 1990, and now inclusion permeates the UN 2030 Agenda with its call to leave no one behind. Yet, we do not live in a world where education is inclusive and accessible to all children and young people.
Throughout this challenging period our focus has remained on driving equitable education worldwide. How? By uniting with international leaders and education workforces, and sharing experience, knowledge and support.
Thought Leadership
In collaboration with governments, we review existing policies and, where needed, co-develop strategies to enable a comprehensive inclusion policy.
Partnership Working
In partnership with sponsors and funders, we lead and collaborate with professionals who work on large-scale educational development projects, providing expertise on inclusion internationally.
International Schools
We provide universal and bespoke training opportunities for teachers and leaders in international and national schools worldwide - galvanising them to improve their special educational needs and disabilities provision through high quality, accessible teaching, and to support their host country's progress towards inclusion.
International membership
We are constantly striving to strengthen the work we undertake with professionals and help support with research, training and resources.
That’s why our work also spans the delivery of international programmes of support with membership available to international colleagues for £50 a year.
