School improvement for SEND Resources
Whole School SEND works with schools to share and embed good practice within CPD and school improvement plans, and to build capability within the school workforce.
In this section you will find examples of school improvement projects, across phases and settings, which evidence suggests have resulted in positive outcomes and impact for children and young people with SEND. You could use these to help you to undertake similar projects in your own setting.
More resources will be shared soon - watch this space!

Keep up to date with future opportunities to get involved!
Recruitment for the 2022-23 PD groups has now closed, but we will be running further groups next year.
Each group is facilitated by a WSS Regional SEND Lead, with members steering the direction. The groups provide a space for peer-to-peer reflection, challenge and support.
If you'd like the opportunity to access free, DfE-funded CPD with a proven record of success, you can register your interest to be one of the first to hear about our next intake.
Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Resources
Many participants used the EEF resources as a starting point for their projects. Some of the most useful documents and pages are listed below:
- Putting Evidence to Work: A School's Guide to Implementation
- Special Education Needs in Mainstream Schools
- Teaching and Learning Toolkit
