Twilight Talks

Twilight Talks

Continuing for 2024-25 academic year, nasen is pleased to bring you Twilight Talks.

Hear from specialists across the sector on a range of different topics relating to SEND and additional needs. As well as developing knowledge and awareness of different elements of SEND, there will be points for reflection and practical take aways.

As part of nasen's commitment to enabling best practice rooted in evidence and research, we are delighted to bring you our 'Twilight Talks- Research Series', in partnership with respected and established researchers from University College London (UCL). You can read more about this partnership on our website.

Please see upcoming sessions below.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no cost for Twilight Talks and so all nasen members can access the sessions as part of their free membership. Keep an eye out for your monthly 'dates for your diary' newsletter that will have details of any upcoming Twilight Talks as well as checking the events section of the nasen website.

There will be a link for you to click and register your participation.

The talks will be facilitated by specialists from across the sector. These specialists will come from a range of organisations including charities, schools and education and other organisations across the sector.

The Twilight Talk will follow a webinar format. After introductions, the session facilitator will present information on the subject of the session as well as provide some useful points for reflection and practical suggestions to help you further develop your practice. There will also be some time at the end of each talk for you to ask questions.

Each Twilight Talk will last between 30 minutes to one hour.

As the name suggest, Twilight Talks will be scheduled to take place after teachers have typically finished teaching for the day. They will therefore run between 4 pm and 5pm.

All of the talks will be recorded, so if you aren’t able to attend on the day, you will be able to watch the recording at your leisure. The recordings will be available in the Resources section or via the 'Previous Sessions' below.
