Talking about anxiety in schools and colleges free seminar

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families have an online seminar for education staff to explore anxiety within schools and colleges. From their work with education staff they have heard that anxiety amongst young people has become a key concern and that staff find it difficult to know how to support those young people.

The seminar will explore the difference between normal anxious feelings and anxiety disorders with practical advice on supporting pupils. There will be a panel of experts form clinical and education backgrounds with an interactive Q&A.

This seminar will:

  • provide practical tips for education professionals to use in school and college settings
  • provide some additional knowledge and understanding around the difference between normal anxious feelings and anxiety disorders, and when to seek professional help
  • provide helpful signposting to materials and resources

The event is free and takes place via Zoom on 22nd May 16:30-18:00.
