Opportunity to be involved in RSE study for young people with learning disabilities

The Institute of Education at University College London are inviting those who fit the criteria below to take part in a study looking at the importance of outcomes for young people with learning disabilities when engaging with Relationships and Sex Education. The study’s authors are looking for:

  • Parents/carers of students with learning disability (also known as intellectual disability) aged 5-25 years living in England;
  • Teachers/school staff members involved in Relationships and Sex Education delivery to students with learning disability in England;
  • Researchers working in the field of education/sexuality of people with learning disability;
  • Policy makers/people working in third sector organisations in England who support people with learning disability

The online survey will ask those who take part to rate the importance of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) outcomes for students with learning disability to help determine what are the most important outcomes to assess after RSE teaching. The questions in the survey were developed following interviews with students with learning disability, parents, teachers, researchers, and policy makers.
