New ADHD Resource

The ADHD Foundation has produced a new resource, initiated and funded by the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, to support SENCOs titled “Refocusing on ADHD in Education: how can schools help children and young people with ADHD to achieve their potential?”. The guide highlights some of the latest thinking on ADHD and how schools can best work and engage young people with ADHD. It provides a link to a video explaining some perspectives around working memory and ADHD and support that can benefit all which would be useful to share with staff. At nasen we would advocate not waiting for the diagnosis of ADHD and employing the classroom strategies that this booklet refers to from page 28 onwards. Doing so will support all learners.
