Maximise your SEND investment with Concero and nasen
81% of SENCOs Are Struggling with Funding — We can help you save in 3 simple steps (Source: nasen SENCO Survey, 2024)
As a SENCO, you’re likely facing the ongoing challenge of tight budgets while ensuring that students and staff receive the support they need. However, with the right approach, you can regain control of your budget and find new ways to save money without compromising on quality.
SENCOs can’t do it alone. It’s essential that school leaders take responsibility and actively support.
Supporting SENCOs isn’t just about helping them manage resources better—it's about ensuring that school leaders understand their critical role in supporting Whole School SEND. When SLTs and SENCOs work together, it’s easier to save money, simplify processes, and improve the support provided for students with SEND.
Take the challenge: Are you paying for tools you don’t need?
Many schools across the UK are unknowingly paying for tools or software that are already built into Microsoft or Google platforms. Imagine how much your school could save by leveraging these built-in features. Concero Education helped a School Trust save £25k by reviewing their existing tools—just think what that could mean for your school.
Are you paying for external software for any of these features?
- Speech-to-text
- Text-to-speech
- Screen readers
- Magnification tools
- High-contrast modes
- Focus assist and reading guides
- Closed captions for videos
- Dictation tools
- Keyboard shortcuts and accessibility settings
- Colour filters and custom contrast options
- Eye-tracking and on-screen keyboards
- Simplified web browsing tools
- Subtitles and translation features
If you’ve agreed with any of the above, it’s time to review your subscriptions, renewals, and contracts. You may be paying for tools you already have, and this is an opportunity to unlock savings that can be reinvested where they’re needed most.
These tools are already included in your Microsoft and Google accounts, so why pay extra?

Maximise your SEND investment and reinvest in 3 simple steps
In partnership with Concero Education, we’ve created a simple 3-step process to help you stop paying for unnecessary tools and invest strategically in building a stronger, more accessible infrastructure for your whole school. By making the most of your digital technology investments, you can ensure long-term sustainability and better support for everyone. Here’s how we can help you:
Who Are Concero Education?
Concero Education Technology started in 1999 as an IT support service created by headteachers within a school. The concept was simple yet powerful: an IT support team serving not only the school but also offering technical expertise to other schools.
Today, we work closely with nasen, NAHT, Microsoft, Google, and the DfE to help schools align their EdTech investments with the practical needs of students and teachers.
Concero was chosen by the DfE to deliver a government-funded programme transitioning thousands of schools to Microsoft or Google cloud environments.
Concero is also trusted by Crown Commercial Services as a public sector provider, enabling schools to streamline procurement and focus on what matters—supporting students with SEND.
