A letter from Minister Ford thanking Special School head teachers
Vicky Ford today released a letter of thanks to leaders working for children and young people with complex needs. The letter also responds to four key issues of concern for special schools: the physical environment; ensuring children and young people get the support they need; the funding impact of COVID-19 on school budgets, and transport.
A key message shared is that the DfE will not be issuing further national notices to modify the duty on local authorities and health commissioning bodies to secure or arrange the provision set out in Education, Health and Care plans.
