Early years, disability and the Equality Act Duties Seminar

23rd November

This seminar will:

  • Explain how the disability duties in the Equality Act work in the early years, including the differences between the duties in schools and early years settings
  • Support an understanding of who may count as disabled
  • Explore some of the tricky issues linked to managing difficult behaviour
  • Draw on real life examples
  • Share some of the learning about the best ways of making sure disabled children have positive experiences of early years provision

  • Identify what is required under the Children and Families Act
  • Explore the wider benefits of having an agreement about provision
  • Draw on examples and share the learning from recent EYSEND Partnership work
