Develop accessibility through the EdTech Demonstrator programme

The Department for Education’s EdTech Demonstrator programme was launched in Spring 2020 with the vision for schools to be able to access free, expert advice on educational technology. The programme provides bespoke peer-to-peer support by linking your requirements to one of the 40+ current demonstrator schools or colleges. An announcement was made that that the programme will continue for the next year to continue to support with remote education provision, devices, and digital platforms. The aim is also to be sustaining support in the long-term, including how technology can:

  • bolster pupil/student progress and outcomes
  • remove unnecessary workload burdens, support more flexible teaching practices
  • improve access to excellent curriculum resources and developing professional bonds and communities
  • provide the best value for money for existing resources
  • support an accessible and inclusive curriculum
