Anti-Bullying Week Resources
The 15th to 19th November is Anti-Bullying Week and the theme is One Kind Word. The week, organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, is beginning with Odd Socks Day supported by CBBC and CBeebies star Andy Day.
A variety of organisations have produced resources to support schools:
- The BBC will be hosting a 30 minute live lesson at 11am for primary schools, highlighting some of the issues around bullying and support available.
- Twinkl have produced a set of free teaching resources that can be used before and after the Live Lesson to help extend the learning.
- The Anti-Bullying Alliance have free CPD-certified anti-bullying online training for staff.
- The Anna Freud Centre have the Anti-Bullying Week toolkit which has resources for primary, secondary and FE.
Sunday 13th November is also World Kindness Day and there are some great ideas for pupils to think about kindness and to promote kindness across schools and a video to promote ‘paying it forward’ as a kindness principle.
