Margaret Mulholland
Margaret Mulholland is the Inclusion Policy Advisor for the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL). ASCL represents 20,000 school leaders and acts on behalf of the pupils in their schools. Her extensive teaching and leadership experience spans both mainstream and special schools. Margaret is an Honorary Norham Fellow of the University of Oxford. Margaret is also joint project director on the WSS and EEF trial of the SEND Review in mainstream secondary schools. She also writes a column on research and inclusivity for Tes.
Clare Belli
Clare is the Head of Outreach Service and Teaching School for Springwell Special School in Southampton. She has been a senior leader and teacher at Springwell for 10 years and has worked across a range of mainstream and special schools, as well as pupil referral units. She holds an MSc in Specific Learning Difficulties from the University of Southampton and an MA in Special Needs and Inclusion from the University of Winchester. Clare established the Outreach Service in her current role which supports pupils with SEND and behavioural needs across primary and secondary which was rated as a strength of the city’s provision by the local area SEND inspection in 2017. She is also a Specialist Leader of Education specialising in SEND and Behaviour. With a wealth of experience in SEND behind her, Clare is a highly experienced and intuitive practitioner in SEND and inclusion.
